Pablo Picasso portrayed his 24-year-old mistress Marie-Thérèse Walter at his age 50. It belongs to Picasso's period of  distorted depictions, with its oversimplified outlines and contrasted colours resembling early Fauvism. The painting has  changed hands several times and it was first sold for $7,000 in 1941. In March 2013. The painting has been reportedly  sold to Steven Cohen for $155 million.
